Alienware 14 gtx 780
Hello All,
Question, could a GTX 780m be installed into an Alienware 14 down the track? I prefer the 14' display but am scared the standard GTX 765m may die off to quickly.

The answer is no - this model doesn't have a separate video card. The video chip is soldered to the mainoboard and not removeable or upgradeable.

Hi jro4sho,
The Alienware 14 ships with a discrete graphic solution in addition to the on-board graphics card to enable nVidia Optimus technology.
Graphics options:
Integrated (UMA) — Intel® HD Graphics 4600
Discrete — nVidia GeForce GT 750M
Discrete — nVidia GeForce GTX 765M
We cannot upgrade the Video card as it is soldered onto the motherboard.
