Alienware 15 R2 SSD SATA3 or PCIe?
Does anyone know if the M.2 port inside the new R2's is SATA3 or PCIe? I'm still waiting on my R2 to show up and want to add either a Samsung 850 EVO or a Samsung SM951. While both drives are M.2 the connector is clearly different for each drive.

I have a 2016 Alienware 15 R2. Has two m.2 slots.
Are these PCIe or SATA?

You can use either. Even though the connector for PCIe and SATA m.2 drives are different the m.2 slot is the same for both. They both run off the PCH so it will just switch modes automatically. I am currently running a Samsung 850 EVO in my R2 without any issues.
