Alienware 15 r1 (2015) Windows 10 Creators Update Support
I understand there is no current supports for the creators update. However, why is this? Has dell dropped support for the Alienware 15 r1 (2015)? The laptop is 2 years old... Anyone else mildly irritated by this decision to not support the most recent windows update?

Dell only supports the OS that came with the unit.
There are more than just a few errors.

Dell does support the Alienware 15 2015 on windows 10 and as far as the november update. Apparently not the anniversary update, which was not blocked by dell, unlike the creators update. See this link. Computers tested for Windows 10 and Windows 10 November Update | Dell US

The Statement below is based on my understanding of what the written Policy is. YMMV
Alienware Notebook
The table below lists Alienware notebook computers that have been tested for upgrade to Windows 10 and tested for Windows 10 November update. HOWEVER the basic policy is that Support is for the OS that came with the unit. OEM Windows support is only for the OS that came with your unit. If you have Windows 10 issues on a machine that was UPGRADED to windows 10 support for this comes from Microsoft not from Dell. Microsoft provides information and support for upgrade through their upgrade website. 3rd Party Microsoft support is NOT free. 3rd Party Processor and OS and Ram and other "upgrades" are not covered by Dell Support.
If this is not the case then Dell needs to clarify what the actual Policy is.
