Alienware 17 R2 - Slow M.2 SSD?
I just got a new Alienware 17 R2 laptop with a standard 1TB hd. I installed a 480GB Crucial M500 550MB/s SSD the other day, but I'm only able to get half transfer speed.
I have installed the SSD in the first M.2 slot and have spent hours researching and tweaking every setting per many suggestions on google. Nothing has worked and I have not been able to get past 250MB/s Read and 230MB/s Write.
*Edit
I imaged my windows install onto my SSD and then restored windows, so my SSD is a bit offset. I'm not sure if SSD misalignment can cause the performance to halve or not.
Here is my benchmark: http://imgur.com/Z3rS7jl
Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a compatibility issue with those hard drives, we are waiting for crucial to launch a firmware to see is the issue gets resolved.

Has Crucial released a firmware that's fixed this issue?
