Alienware 17 Windows 10 sound issue. (Speakers aren't play sound, headphones are.)
I updated to Windows 10 this morning (7/29/2015) and after finishing the update I found that my speakers weren't working. I have the most recent version of the Alienware 17. I can hear things from my headphones but not from my speakers when unplugged. I checked on the sound settings and it says they are enabled, so that rules out the possibility of them being disabled. Any help would be great.

Same here with an Alienware 15.
The Creative software suite ( Sound blaster Recon3di Control Panel) is no longer correctly installed and I think it's because of this that there is a problem.
For example the external speaker no longer work but plug a headset in and the sound card starts working.

Same, but with headset is working good :\

Had this exact issue myself. Fixed it by reinstalling Dell's Audio driver. You can find it here:
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/servicetag/j6tjv32/drivers/advanced
Maximize the drivers under Audio and download the driver called Creative Malcolm chip+Recon3Di AP Driver. A quick download, install, and restart and bingo, speakers fixed.

As an addendum to this, I originally had an issue where the new software from Dell would not install. I wound up having to go into the apps and uninstall the previous Creative app to get it to go. It did work after that.

Hey,
What did you uninstall? I attempted to install the new driver and mine keeps saying the install is being interrupted. This is driving me nuts!
