Alienware 17 screen to bright and colors washed out.
Greetings, i've a brand new Alienware 17, i'm very happy with this Pc. But i think i have an issue with the screen (the basic 1600x900). I cannot fix the brightness and colors. It seems there is lot of contrast. I've tried lot of settings, and also i've update my video driver, and run Alien autopsy. Any suggestions to try? Is it possible my scree it's broken?
Those poor colors are really annoying.

I believe there is a way that Windows can help you out adjusting the Brightness and Contrast that are displayed by the laptop.
Try using these true. Maybe they can help you out.
As an additional question. Do you have this same issue while hooking your laptop to an external display?

No when i hook an external monitor the colours are perfect, also the contrast. I use a 22" Hp with 1680x1050 resolution, so near my 1600x900 laptop.
