Alienware M15x - DVD drive replacment
Hi Guys,
I'm looking to install a blu ray drive on my M15x. I was just wondering, do you definitely have to take the display off the laptop in order to do this? Taking the rest apart is no problem but the screen has me a little iffy about.

Cool. Was this a replacement for a defective drive or just an upgrade?

To answer my own Q .... and just so others can know the answer is ....NO no you don't have to take the screen off. Just putting something over to portect it so it doesn't get damaged. I used the dust cover for the alienware. I have my blu ray installed now and it's AWESOME!!!
