Alienware M17x R3 SSD not detected

A few months back I had noticed that my laptop was starting to run much, much slower. The start up process seemed to have changed as well. I ended up doing a clean reinstall of Windows and just started over. Well, it still was running pretty slow. I just realized earlier today that my SSD is not longer being detected inside of Windows or in the BIOS. What can I do to try and troubleshoot the problem?
