Hi!

You can only request 3D capability at the time of purchase. After the computer is built and shipped, you no longer have the option to request the upgrade.

I am not requesting an upgrade. I am asking IF I can upgrade my laptop to have 3D capability. I have CompTIA A+ certification and 10 years in PC hardware industry. So assembling and service is not a problem.

All I want to know is CAN I make my laptop 3D capable? If yes then what components would I need?

Yes, the M17X R4 supports 3D Vision. You’ll need a 3D compatible Video Card (GeForce GTX660 already supports 3D Vision), 3D Compatible LCD, 3D emitter and the 3D glasses.
