Alienware M17x R4 HDMI-IN not working on Windows 8.1
Hi, I have an M17x R4 and tried to use my Xbox 360 with the HDMI-IN but it only works for a second then goes black but the sound is still working.
I Googled it and the only thing I could find is that apparently it doesn't work properly on Win 8.1?
Has any other M17x R4 owners had this problem and hopefully know of a fix?
Specs:
i7-3720
GTX 675M
120Hz 3D Display

For anyone else with the same problem, I tried driver 352.86 and got it to work mostly, what you do is set the lid to do nothing when closed and switch to HDMI-IN, it shows for 1 sec then goes black then close and open the lid and it will come on and work. :-)

Hello,
We’ve heard about some compatibility issues between the HDMI in and either Xbox or PS4. You can try installing the driver listed on our support page. It seems like the newer driver versions take that feature off.

Thanks for the reply,
Unfortunately this device is not supported on the M17XR4 for the HDMI-in feature. Some of our user may have tried this type of configurations before. You could also try posting this on the Alienware Arena forums for further assistance.
