Hi,
If your system only boots in Legacy mode, Windows was probably installed using the Legacy boot mode option. Did you recently reinstall Windows?

Originally i re-installed windows using the uefi mode and it ran till i restarted it then i would get a black screen and no hdd activity. So i restarted it again and booted via legacy boot and it started up with no issues. This also included no missing data. I then tried to re-install windows again via cd provided and it did not recognize the drivers required even after downloading. At this point in time it functions without fail booting through the legacy boot.

Hi,
I'm not sure how that may have happened. As far as I know, If you install Windows using the wrong mode, you won't be able to use the features of that firmware mode without reformatting the drive. Which drivers did it not recognize when you tried to install Windows?

I beleive it is the inrial chipset or hdd drivers. I tried using the resource disk that was provided but it still did not recognize them.
