Alienware R4 Issues from the start.

I had 2 of these systems delivered, one for my son and one for myself. My sons computer has no issues. I on the other hand get this at start up.

Anyone have any ideas. Brand new system not even 30 days old yet.

Trying to get in touch with Dell support is like trying to run a marathon as a blind person.....

@gottahabitfhyc try uninstalling the Command center like this:

1. Go to Control Panel>Programs and Features and find the Alienware Command Center, and uninstall it. Restart the computer.

2. Go to C:\Program Files\Alienware and delete the "Command Center" folder (this will delete the predetermined themes just FYI) and restart the system again.

3. Type "regedit" on the start menu search box and hit enter.

4. Once inside the registry editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Alienware and right click on the AlienFX folder and delete it, and do the same thing for the Command Center folder (if it comes up there). And restart the system again.

5. Download the Command Center from here, and install it again. Restart the computer and check if the error comes up, and let me know.

The CPU cooler, sensors, AlienFX lights, and extra case fans are controlled by the MIO-Board, so trouble-shooting should start there.

Shut-down machine properly so it will turn off. Unplug from wall or UPS. Hold down power button for 20 seconds to dissipate any electricity in machine and MIO-Board. Wait another 20 secs before powering up. See if that very simple procedure resets MIO-Board.

Thanks for the reply.

Tried it rite away with no success.

Still get same messages at startup.

You would think that after paying cash for 2 systems they would ship WORKING systems

:(

Mine was DOA when I go it last Oct. I ask at that time "Don't they test these computers before they leave the factory?" I have seen some other posters asking that question with the R4 and none of us got a straight answer. As for not being able to call support, I have never had any trouble at all getting them to answer. Are you calling the Alienware support line at 1-866-287-6727 ? The techs at that number are very good. They have Spanish sur names and are very easy to understand unlike what you get when you get India. My problem was the computer was configured for 2 hard drives when it only had one and it was trying to boot to the one that wasn't even there.

The link for the new command center file led to a file that is not compatible with my system so I went to dell drivers and downloaded file from there. System working flawlessly now thank you.
