Alienware X51 GPU upgrade question

Hello everyone! i have been searching for a long time to find an answer to these questions, but i have not found any.

CURRENT SPECS: (ENTRY LEVEL MODEL)

- i3

- NVIDIA GeForce GT 545 GDDR3 (OEM)

- 4 GB ram

- 1TB HDD

- 240 PSU

Here's the questions:

1: i am looking to upgrade my current GPU to an EVGA GeForce GTX 650 2GB. is the 650 stronger/ does it have better graphics capabilities? (the 650 takes max 64w of power)

2: if the answer to #1 is YES, will the X51 be able to handle its power? I saw a 6-pin connector on the 650 and i'm not sure if i can use that on my alienware x51.

3: if it does need more power should i upgrade from a 240 w PSU to a 330 w PSU?

You'll notice a performance boost with the GTX 650, around a 40% maybe whereas the GTX 660 will give you a nice 200%+ graphics performance.

It depends on the game of course, but you can look for benchmark results on google and compare :)

It would probably work, but I would get the GTX 660 instead. It's the highest validated card and it will work like a charm, you may need the 330w though.

thanks. so the 650 will work fine. i thought about the 660 but i dont want to spend close to $350 for that. will the 650 work with a 240w psu?

thanks. one last question (i promise :)  im not an expert on GPUs, so does the 650 have better graphics capabilities? ex: if the 545 runs bf3 on medium with 40 fps, will the 650 be able to run it on higher settings like high with a reasonable fps?

The GTX 545 uses 105 W at most, which means the GTX 650 should run just fine with it.
