Alienware X51 R1 240W PSU GPU Upgrade
I have an Alienware X51 R1 with a 240W PSU which originally came with a GTX 660, when I installed a GTX 1060 and plugged in the power pin, it immediately shuts down. Do I have to upgrade to the 330W PSU? Doesn't the GTX 1060 pull less power than the GTX 660? If I do have to upgrade the PSU, do I have to replace any internals parts as well?

Hi ,
The GTX 1060 is not officially validated for this pc but yes, it will need the 330W PSU.
