Alienware X51 replaced stock gpu and now the MoBo Beeps 5 times

Hello, 2 weeks ago I replaced my stock GTX555 with an EVGA GTX 750Ti OC, my motherboard is beeping 5 times, I checked on my BIOS since I understand that the problem is related to de CMOS battery but I didn't find anything that would help me.

I already don't know what to do, my computer is an Alienware X51 Andromeda and the BIOS is A01

Thanks

Hi,

The 5 beeps does indicate a Real Time Clock failure. Have you tried reseating it?

You can also try doing a power drain. To perform a power drain, follow the steps below.

  1. Turn the system off and disconnect the power cord.
  2. Disconnect all external devices (mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc)
  3. Press and hold the power button for 1 minute.
  4. Connect everything again and turn on the system.
