Alienware m14x cant download torrent and windows 8 touchpad gestures not working

Hi, i recently bought alienware m14x in windows 7, and i upgrade it to windows 8 pro. However there are a few problems.

First problem is that i always get the blue screen of death after 5 minutes of downloading torrent , so can someone tell me what to do?

Second problem is that i do not have the windows 8 touchpad gestures where if u swipe ur finger from the right, u can see the charms bar. So can someone tell me what to do with this problem too. I also have checked the hardware, and theres no problem with it. I have scanned for anti-virus and theres none
