Alienware m17 r3 graphics card upgrade
Hi I have an alienware m17x r3 laptop with an Nvidia 580m graphics card. What I'm wondering is if I can upgrade the graphics card to a newer more powerful one for upcoming games (such as the witcher 3). If so I'd like to stick with a Nvidia GeForce graphics card and what kind I may be able to upgrade to.

The highest video card upgrade that we can support for the Alienware M17x R3 system is the Nvidia GTX 580. Some of our customers have had success with higher video card upgrades on this system but we have no official results.

Can you let us know which non-validated video card(s) that some people have had success with when upgrading the M17 R3 .

Up to GTX 780m/880m and HD 7970m/m290x. The 900m series do not work with the m17xR3.
