Alienware m17x (R1) HD 5780 install??
Can somebody please help me? I found it is possible to install a single AMD HD 5870 into the Alienware M17x (R1), and i was wondering if anybody has any sort of walkthrough, or guide, as i require help. Iknow how to put the card in, but after that, or what's required before that is beyond my knoledge, so i need a tutorial, if anybody has one.

We didn’t validated that video card for this system but after you install the new video card you might just need to install the video drivers.
If you need further assistance you can ask in Alienware arena or in notebook review since they are used to modify their systems.

These GPU's usually run in the M17x model with no issues, just make sure you use good thermal paste and new thermal pads as the 5870's run hot (mid 80's) and you will blow them quickly if they overheat.
And of course if you use two you will need a x-fire cable to link them.....
