Alienware m17x r3 Graphic card problems
hey, well i bought the m17x r3 about 3 years ago so basically i no longer hace a warranty. last year i started having problems with the graphic card. the laptop crashed while I played, i took it to several technical supports and no one could fix it nor find the main problem (guessing its the graphic card since i disabled it and it hasn't crashed since but can barelly use any programs). now i decided to just buy a new card but it turns out that the 580m is discontinued.
I would really appreciate any help on how o where to get another better card to replace it.

Hi!
We no longer have this video card for sale, however, you can check other third party sites such as ztronics.com or parts-people.com.
You can also look into the other supported video cards for the M17X R3:
87XRJ GeForce GTX 460M
8H4G6 GeForce GTX 560M
RFYN9 GeForce GTX 580M

Aside from those 3 NVIDIA options, are there any upgraded cards that could work? like newer versions?

Above are the Dell certified video cards for the M17X R3. Other upgrades might be possible but they're not validated so we can't guarantee they will work properly.

I'm having a guy work on my m17x-r3 and he's telling me that the radeon hd 6900 will work, but I'm not seeing it on the list, this is probably a stupid question but will it work properly?
