Are my GPU,CPU, and SSD Temps normal ? M17xr4

Hello,

I bought an alienware m17x r4 back in 2012.

Last year I did a re-pasting and I just upgraded my  only hard drive to a solid state 850 evo.

Speed fan is showing my cpu temperatures at 58-61 C at idle with firefox open.

and my GPU around 54 c at idle.

my ssd goes from 43-45 C

When I do my film editing it goes to about 91-95 cpu and gpu around 62 .

Is this normal and ok?

What do you guys think?

Thank you!

Hi slowslop‌,

Try running an ePSA/Diagnostic test on the system, click here to view a Dell article that explains how to run this test. Let me know if you receive any errors.

For CPU stress test:

Try running a CPU stress test using the Support Assist tool to check how high the CPU temperature goes. If you do not have Support Assist installed in your computer, click here for the download link. Follow the steps below to run the stress test.

  • Download and install Dell Support Assist
  • Open Dell Support Assist
  • Click Checkup
  • Click Scan a Specific Device
  • Click System Devices
  • Select the CPU Stress Test and Run it. This Test will load the CPU and Ram to 100% and test it. It will make enough heat to determine if the processor is overheating or not.

At the end please send an screenshot of the results, remember that the important thing is the temperature average of the whole test and not necessarily the peaks.
