Area-51 Motherboard
The recent release of the Sandy Bridge-E has me hungry for more power. Right now I've got an Area-51 that I got back in April, and here's the stuff I got with it:
6-core i7 970 @ 3.2 GHz
Dual 2GB 6950s
1 TB 7200 RPM HDD
Regular Disc Drive
6 GB of DDR3 @ 1333 MHz
So I was wondering. If I put in a new motherboard, would that disable me from all of the things like AlienFX and controlling the fins on top? I want to get the 3930K, so thanks in advance.

Won't really know until you swap it. Sometimes the command center will work but sometimes they don't. More often then not they don't.

You'd probably have to buy it from Dell for it to work ?
