Area 51 R2 - SLI Bridge 2 1080 GTX - How many Slot?
Area 51 R2 - Want to run 2 1080 GTX' - need to know what SLI Bridge. Does it have to be a 3 slot? Will 2 slot or 4 slot work? The only 3 slot I found on Amazon Prime is the Asus -- can you let me know if the one below will work or if only the NVIDIA 3 slot will. Thanks.

yes. it's a 60 mm Bridge so it should work.

What about slot #? Slot1, 2 or 3 or ....

right. sorry, forgot to mention. use Slots 1 and 2. if your CPU supports only 28 Lanes your 3rd Slot is running in PCIe x 4 Mode. besides, i believe that the Cards installed in Slots 2 and 3 would run whith higher Temps.

My question about slots is regarding the spacing ... they make them in 1 slot, 2 slot , 3 slot ... I need someone to confirm that it's the 3 SLOT that I need -- or will the 1 slot or 2 slot work just as well. If that is the case there are MANY more options to choose from on Amazon.

you need 3 Slot (60 mm) Bridge. longer or shorter Bridges will not work.
