Area 51 R2 not working with HTC Vive - Not enough USB Resources

I have an Area 51 R2 and just purchased an HTC Vive.  When I try to use the Vive I receive an error "Not enough USB resources" and the device fails to recognize.  If I unplug every USB device from the Area 51 except a mouse and keyboard then it works, but I cannot use a gamepad or any other USB devices.

Reading some forum posts, typically a driver or bios update fixes this on most devices.  I checked and I have the most current BIOS and drivers from support.dell.com.

Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Thank you

All else fails you might want to try a PCI USB expansion card

What PSU do you have?

Quick update, I tried both the USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports and no difference.  I may order the pci USB card if I can't get this to work.

Does anyone know if updated drivers or a bios are coming?  The last updates were a while ago.

Dang, If this happens to me I might just pull the motherboard. Its the only OEM component left in my area 51. Find out later today

That's unfortunate...did you have the same problem I did?  I should have a USB controller card coming by the end of this week, I'm going to try that to see if it fixes the problem.

Good news, a USB PCIe card fixed my issue and now I can use the vive with other USB resources attached.

Thanks, all.

If you have issues with the USB ports, this should be a work-around.
