Looks like the new Aurora R3 is for sale.

Why is the 'bog-standard' R3 on the American site that much better than the UK version ?

I configured similar spec machines on both sites and the US one was roughly £400 cheaper.

To get to the standard of the US machine I had to upgrade various components of the UK one, hence the price rocketed.

(And I was still left with a Core-i5 rather than a Core-i7)

Why is this ?

Is it another consequence of living in 'rip-off Britain' ?
