Aurora-R3 is not Ivy Bridge compatible

Just picked up an Aurora R3 from the Outlet with the P67 chipset. I know Ivy Bridge will support socket 1155, but will alienware release an update to the bios to support the new processors? My hope is yes since they are all about gaming and scability but now being owned by Dell for a few years, I am a bit hesitant. Would've picked up the new R4, which is what I wanted but didn't want to pay 4k for that rig when I don't need to processor yet. I'm thinking about popping in a 2700k but with Ivy Bridge, I will probably wait. Plus there are no additional gains over the 2600.

With the upcoming release of Ivy Bridge, I'm interested in this as well.  With the same socket 1155, does Aurora R3 support Ivy Bridge?

At this time, we have not been told anything about the Ivy Bridge.

Bumpity bump, I would like to know this. I too think it probably won't happen but it would be nice. Also what about the PCI-E 3.0 graphics cards?

3.0 Graphics card will work on the P67 Alienware boards... I've done that upgrade.

As far as I know, all the PCI E 3.0 graphics cards are backward compatible at least with 2.0 boards.  So it should be a plug-and-play affair for the new graphics cards. On the other hand, I believe modifications to the BIOS need to be made to run Ivy Bridge processors.

Did you ever get your 3770 to work in your R3?  I have a 2550K and would like to know if I could upgrade.
