Aurora R4 Upgrading to SSD - transferring OS
If I was to upgrade my R4 to an SSD I presume the best way to enhance its speed is to use the SSD for the OS?
I have read about the SSD cache option, but feel a little uncomfortable about relying on the caching software in case of possible data loss (I'll see what others say about this).
If the best way is to use a new SSD with the OS on it, whats the best way to do this? - use the dell installation CD's on the new drive and start again?
Thanks in advance,
JJ

Thanks. Will that give me the option of dual booting (just in case I have issues with some apps)?

Do a fresh install of Win 7 from the OS disc then follow the driver install order in this article:

Get the latest version of command center here:

I never even turned it on my R4 with the 1Tb drive it came with lol. installed my 256Gb Corsair Performance Pro and GTX 660Ti FTW 3Gb/W Back plate the day it arrived ;-)
