Do you advise everybody to download and install this please Chris, or does it apply only to certain models?

Understood. Do you know if a new release will soon be available for the laptops seeing as the CC is regularly the cause of several evils?

The 2.6.1.0 A01 release is not for any Laptops.

How do I change from degrees C to degrees F now?  Previously, I did that by right clicking on the AW icon in the taskbar.

Ok, so as an M17x R2 user, I should continue to use R272621, right?

The Desktop and Laptop are different Alienware teams. They have their own testing cycle. No eta.

Is there any chance I could make a feature request. I would really like the ability to have a hot key or some easy way to enable and disable AlienFX. Either adding an option for a G key on my alienware keyboard or setting it to something like Alt + F12 or something.

I like the new command center. I have an Area 51 ALX. But, since I still cannot get a "new mail" AlienFX notification with Outlook 2007 I decided to set up an "event" that changes the color and blinks the Alien head zone only when I open the program Outlook 2007. It works, but after some time passes (not timed yet)with or without activity it will then not work. I changed events from Outlook to 2 other programs. After some time, same outcome, the AlienFX will not change the color as set in the the command center when the event program opens. "Waking" the board using the AlienFX Tester seems to allow the events ALienFX to work again....updating the "active theme" does not. It appears that the AlienFX "goes to sleep" or "times out".....Is there an option "don't allow this device to go to sleep" like the network cards have or is this an issue I have discovered or an issue that only I have.... I have removed/recreated the profile....restarted, rebooted, unplugged, etc....I have not tried other zones...

I would like to add a future request.

It appears that the command center AlienFX lighting "ACTIONS" are limited to 60 actions. You cant add more that 60 total. Right now I have 12 actions for each area (5). I can remove one action from one area and then add it to another but it will cap at 60 total. If you can add more that would be great!

Another request would be to add the morph and pulse actions to the Tactx Keyboard. That would be fun!

Thank you and happy holidays,

Dan

lmele,

Is this just after installing the CC update or many reboots since installing it?

This is on every reboot since installing this new CC. I have uninstalled completely and reinstalled with the same results.

Found it.  It's in the Thermal Controller in the Notification Area Icons,  Not in the AlienFX icon.

No Events found!
