Failed Headphone Sense Pin

I have an Alienware 15 (Early 2015) laptop that has a sense pin failure in one of the headphone jacks. This causes the speakers to not work.

I ran a diagnostic on the speakers, following this post, and the speakers do work.

I am pretty sure my laptop is still under warranty. How can I get this repaired?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi,

Send me a PM with your service tag for assistance on this.

I had the same issue. I resolved it. First go to sound blaster recon3d software. Use it to configure you pins for head phone and mic and then shift from PC speakers to head phone. Now plug your head phon/ external speakers. Complete insert of pin would not operate both external speakers, keep the pin in between.
