HDMI Input won't work on M18xR2
Has anyone managed to get the HDMI Input working on a M18xR2 under windows 8? I have HDMI Out working perfectly but nothing on the HDMI Input.
I've tried the following:
Different HDMI cables
Cutting 2-3mm from the end of the plastic plug so the metal connector can go into the HDMI slot further
Tried cables that work with the HDMI Out slot
Nothing works.
Any suggestions please as I need this to work

Hi! Sorry I couldn't reply sooner. Make sure you have the Dell version of the video drivers installed. If not, do a clean driver installation as explained here and make sure you have the latest BIOS A11. I also need to know what device you're trying to connect through the HDMI-in.

Thanks for the reply Naomi. Yes I only use the Dell video drivers. I have the A10 bios and doubt the A11 would help[ this problem but if you insist I will update.
I am trying to attach a PVR to my M18xR2 so I can watch live TV on it.

Please update the BIOS to the version A11 and try to do the clean driver installation.
Also if possible, try a different device.
Let me know the results!

sorry for the delay but haven't been well. I've now done as requested, Bios A11 and a clean install of the NVidia video drivers from the Dell website. Still no change.
I don't have any other HDMI devices to try.
Any other suggestions?

The M18x-R2 right side HDMI in port will only function if the source device (PVR) is sending the proper resolution. Connect the PVR to a TV. Go into the PVR menu and set the HDMI out resolution to 1920x1080. Then disconnect the PVR from the TV and connect it to the M18x-R2 right side HDMI in port.

Thanks Chris. Just one problem tho: what HDMI resolution do I set the PVR to in order to match the monitor on my M18x R2?
I connected the PVR to our TV and the only available HDMI output resolutions that could match my M18xR2 are either 1920 x 1080 60i or 1920 x 1080 60p
Which should I set it to?
