M11x battery critically low
Hi guys i've been facing the problem with my m11x for a month now. whenever i turn on the laptop with the battery connected the alien head starts flashing and i get the battery critically low error. however i read somewhere that i should try running the system without the battery i.e. on direct supply and it worked like a gem. however i have now discovered that the system runs fine when i connect the battery but dont attach the base plate. could it be that the battery is somehow shorting on the cover? need immediate help pls.

Arjunn,
Odd issue. Is the M11x under warranty? It appears that you should replace the battery as a first step in troubleshooting.

Thanks for the reply Chris,
Sadly the M11x is not under warranty.
I've cut out a slip of paper and placed it between the battery and the cover and the system is working absolutely fine. Donno what to make of this exactly.
