M17x-R3 GPU upgrade from Radeon 6990 to Nvidia 770GTX?
Hy all. I have only this question. Can I upgrade on my alienware m17xr3 my graphic card from ati 6990 to nvidia 770gtx? Some forums write okay but I think is good when I ask from dell. Please write me as soon as.

These are the validated video cards for your system:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX460M
NVIDIA GeForce GTX560M
NVIDIA GeForce GTX580M
AMD Radeon 6870M
AMD Radeon 6970M
AMD Radeon 6990M
The NVIDIA GTX770M is not a validated card for your system; therefore, we don’t guarantee it will work with optimal performance. If you decide to go for the upgrade, make sure you have the 240W AC Adapter and be aware that the risks are not covered in warranty.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to upgrade to 3D. The 3D capability can only be set from factory, this means you can only get it at the time of purchase.
Sorry, I’ve corrected the previous post. What you need is actually a 240W adapter. You can find it on the Dell Shop here.

I make this with bios unlock and integrated graphic disabled, high definition audio disabled in bios and than I have enough AC for aware.
