M18x, Fans not coming on to cool down laptop

the last windows update messed up my Alienware M18x Gaming Laptop bad enough that I needed to do a respawn. Unfortunately, something didn't install properly or I needed a driver because my cooling fans are no longer coming on like they did. (I could plainly hear them before, but not now). I went to the driver page for my laptop and downloaded this:

But it cannot install the driver as the installer tells me that my computer does not have the hardware to run it:
