Noob question backlight keyboard on battery

Hi I just got a new 15 R3 and so far I love it.  I do have a question about the back light keyboard.  So when it is on battery the backlighting drops off.  I am sure that this is a power saving feature but I want to know where to control it. 

I have gone into Alien Fusion and made sure that Alien FX was set to On when on the battery.  Not sure if there is anywhere else this needs to be checked.
