Nvidia 295 Card Question

I have an Alienware Aurora that was listed as having 2 GTX 295 video cards. I was having problems with the monitor turning off by itself, so I replaced the only 295 card I saw in the case with another one. Everything seems to work, but now in Device Manager I only have one 295 card listed, whereas before it listed 2 cards.

Can someone explain how it can have 2 cards listed when only one card is physically in the case? How will this affect my playing of games now?

Hi!

The GTX 295 is a single video card that has 2 different cores that work separately but simultaneously (kinda like SLI but on a single card). This is reason why you used to see two devices on the Device Manager. If you no longer see them, it could be a problem with the replacement card you installed.
