Overnight Shipping X51 Stuck in Transit

I just found out that my shipped overnight X51 is presently stuck on a shipping dock down in Mexico. I didn't know that they were even assembled there, but rather in China. :(  According to FedEx, there's a bunch of them stuck down there on a Mexican shipping company's dock for the weekend, so I'm not the only one waiting.

Having experienced Mexican quality at it's very best, in other products that I have owned, I try to avoid buying anything made there.

As such, from other's experiences, what thing(s) should I check for on my X51 when I receive it. I've heard of some people getting their's w/o a formatted hard drive, which means some really bad QC (quality control) when something major like that happens. Any issues about not enough thermal compound on the cpu, or too much, missing parts, screws, stripped threads, etc?
