Phoenix Bios password ~HELP~ Alienware M5500i-r3

Hello all! Im not sure if Im in the right spot to post, but I NEED HELP! I just recently purchased an alienware laptop, pretty excited because Ive always wanted one! I got itr pretty cheap, they told me no charger and a password was on it. Well not thinking anything of if, I bought the charger and realized when I booted it up, it had a Bios password. I called up the person I ought it off of, he told me he had no idea, his kid did it somehow! :(

I've tried..

- Taking out the CMOS battery

- Backdoor passwords

Neither one worked. I've seen online that Im not the only person with this problem..

Any help and any ideas would greatly be appreciated!

Those are the only two things I can think of that would reset the password on that system. Maybe if you try a power drain while the CMOS battery is out?

I could only find a couple backdoor passwords

-phoenix

-PHOENIX

-CMOS

-admin

-ADMIN

Any other ideas?

Ill try a complete power drain when I get home.

I heard something about holding down the power button to reset it on start up like on the macbook pro.

Do you think that would work??
