Poor gaming performance m18x

I have an m18x with a 2860 cpu and a single gtxs560 and the gaming performance is about the same as the m14x at lesser resolution on the m14x.I was wondering if anyone has issues with single gpu m18s.I posted a while back but didn't get a response.I know having a single gpu m18x isnt the norm but my other laptop seems better on BF3 and Batman AC.Is that just the 560 isnt powerful enough with the m18x resolution? Thanks.

Hey AFIFBOY, no they only offer single 560gtx or dual 560 580 and 6990,but only in dual config. The 560gtx was the only option for the single gpu on the m18x,it doesnt make sense to me either, the m17 only the r2 offers dual gpu other m17r3 only has single but you can get a 580gtx.I cant understand it either,Mine was a replacement and the performance on newer games with the 560 isnt that great I was wondering if its just not enough to drive the new games anymore,or if I had a bad card.I wanted a 580 dell doesnt offer above 580 in single form and I had little choice in configs due to replacement issue. Its a nice machine overall I have a few issues now that popped up.Its also quite big, especially with todays ultra notebooks, the m18xis a monster.

ya.. if iam nt mistaken m18x shud be rdy with 580m, not 560m.. but in m17x also u can get directly 580m's but in my case, i was given an option to choose 560m and 480m.. but i dk which is btter.. i thought that 560m is btter than 480m =.=

but m18x shud have 580m, nt 560m @_@

Ya they should but they dont.Dell offeres 4 gpu choices on the m18x single gtx560m only option.Or dual 560m dual 580m or amd 6990m.I tried to get the 580 or 6990 dell/alienware said on a single gpu config the 560 was the only option they used to have the amd 6970 but dropped that card also.It makes no sense to offer a 580 in an m17x and not in m18x unless you get dual????

It was a replacement so I could upgrade everything except to dual.I have a single gtx560 and with the new games and 3d its just not enough power.I have a few problems that are going to be fixed soon I just got in touch with social media guys they're great.A big difference from calling support. But as far as upgrading the gpu,I can go ebay and maybe get lucky but I tried and a used 580 without heatsink was 800 bucks, thats crazy. Its only a 300 dollar upgrade for 2 on dell when you buy.If I bought this and not a replacement I wouldve never got a single 560 its already an older card on a top machine. It came out 6 months before the 580 gtx.The 480 is a good card about the same as a 560 but not even close to a 580.If you look up anandtech and notebookck, the difference between 560 and 580 is double in some games and 50% faster on average.I didn't think it would be a big difference but I have a 580gtx in my m17r3 and it blows the doors off the 560.My whole point is why only offerer a 560 single option on your top line m18x? Yes I have an m18x.sorry I just re read your post.
