I just got the same thing and I have no idea what it is or what caused it. Can someone out there help us. I'm running an alienware area 51.

OK, I got this twice. Downloaded Command Center from Dell site and installed. It was a new version and it updated the MIO firmware also. Haven't had the problem since. My machine is 4 months old, Alienware Area51.

Appears that Thermal Controller (or some other part of Alienware Command Center Suite) is having a problem communicating with the MIO-Board hardware.
You don't have to run Thermal Controller sub-app 24/7 (background) for it to do it's job. Click it's TaskTray icon for options.
What exact version of Windows?
