I've tried CPUID's HWMonitor located here. It seems to work for me the very few times i've used it.

We also recommend to use that one.

Alienware-L_Porras has the reply I wanted to hear. I am aware that in the past some hardware monitors had some undesirable side effects in conjunction with the firmware (EFI/BIOS). I wanted to make sure I got a temperature monitor that would not in some way damage my computer, as remote a possibility as that might be.
