Video card upgrade for my Alienware Aurora r4
I hope someone can help me in making sure that either of these video cards will work in myAlienware Aurora r4. I currently have duel Geforce GTX55 cards with SLI enabled.
I do a lot of gaming and got a Asus VE278Q 27-Inch Full-HD LED Monitor so the cards I’m interested in are either GeForce GTX 780 or the GeForce GTX 780 Ti.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello there,
I'm about buying a GTX780ti SC for my AURORA R4 ( bought in november 2012). I assume i've got the 875w PSU but i'm not really sure... I've read a lot of posts concerning PSU issues that are not strong enough for the GTX780ti.
Could you please confirm that whatever model R4 you've got, your R4 is able to make a GTX780 work ?
Btw, my system has been already upgraded to BIOS A11 without any problem.
Thanks for your help.
Olivier.

Hi!
Yes, all AURORA R4 models have an 875W power supply and are compatible with the GTX780 and GTX780Ti.
You can find these Video Cards for sale on the Dell Shop.
Hope this helps!

Is this list outdated now? Will 970, and 980 work?

With a power supply of 875 Watts, most single cards will work. I have an EVGA GTX 980 that only requires a minimum of 500 Watts. So you should be ok.
