X51 R3 with gtx 1060
riddled with issues....
does the intel GPU onboard work with it, once it is plugged in? or does it need to be disabled?
Do gtx 1060 have Optimus? I dont see the intel hd 530 in the nvidia panel anymore

They should both be listed, but having it disabled won't cause any harm either. Make sure you have the correct settings in the BIOS for it to use both. Optimus doesn't necessarily work in the x51 R3 due to it having different outputs for both cards and them not sharing the same video lane.

I put the 960 back in, 1060 is to hoot an fan is obviously faulty.
However I dont see the old menus in nvidia hat I had before. no way to change to hd 30, or gtx 960???
not sure whats happened there at all, but like my Optimus back
