alienware area 51 change graphics card upgrade

Hello,

I Have Alienware Area-51 (Late 2009) with DUAL 1GB ATI RADEON HD 5870 G

and i would like to change the dual graphics cards (the ventilation is very noisy).

Can you advise me about a recent ATI model compatible with my area 51?

ATI is now simply AMD Radeon; here he got his R9290x to work, finally:

Here's a simple graphics card list; find your 5870's, then try a card (or cards) at least two tiers higher to notice a performance improvement (copy / paste link if need be):

I don't make card recommendations, but if you need help w/your system after install, members here can help you trouble-shoot
if you begin to hone in on a card or two, best to check back in here w/its power specs. Stock power supply &/or motherboard sometimes need help to run the highest power-hungry cards
