explorer.exe crash with laptop events

Hi,

I have a Alienware M11x R2 I7 with Windows 7 Home premium installed. I don't know why, but a few days ago, explorer.exe started crashing everytime I enable or disable my wireless, plug my earphone, connect an external screen or anything that has to do with my hardware device (even changing the LED colors). I thought it might be a virus by I have Microsoft Security Essentials installed and it seems I'm ok.

It simply crash then restore and it's very annoying.

Anyone has an idea?

Thanks,

I don't work for Dell-AW but ...

explorer.exe crashes are sometimes due to a misbehaving program that attaches itself to the "right-click" Context Menu or otherwise connects itself to Windows Explorer.
