is ATI 5970 compatible with the alienware monitor 23 optx 3d ?
i just bought the optx 23" 3d monitor but i have 2 ati 5970's.will i be able to play 3d with my ati cards and this monitor ?

No its a nvidia only feature so you will need nvidia gpus, can you play on the display? Yes, can you use the 3d feature? No
If you can get yourself the a 1-2 GTX 480's if you really want to play in 3d if you want to keep above 60 fps the entire time go with 2 cards, maybe alienware/dell will let you change them out maybe not .btw the 5970's having two of them scale horribly, maingear has a video up of how poorly they scale.
