why my new Alienware R3 17 cable don't have the blue light on it??
i had received my new alienware R3 17 today,i have notice that my friend's new alienware R3 17 's power cable has the blue light on it,why my new alienware R3 17 cable dont have the blue light on it?? and P.S i also didnt receive the Free NVIDIA GeForce Bundle that comes with the order.

Not in NZ, it doesn't :-) and the spec sheet doesn't differentiate between different graphics specs, they all have the same 240W supply.
I have the 240W supply and a 970M 17R3

make sure it's a 240W power supply. my old R2 has 180watts and it does not have blue light. i think it will take a week to email you the free games. if not, then call alienware tech support.

the blue light is bad
it's too bright at night : (
it would have been better if it was just off and the light was on the brick
it's also bad because my color system is purplish/blue so it doesn't match : (

After a quick Google search is appears that NVIDIA has ended the promotion.... As noted on their site it was for a limited time while supplies lasted.

whoa, they messed up. your r3 should come with 240watt. call alienware and have them replaced that immediately.

The 240watt PSU only comes with Nvidia GTX 980M systems, Alienwares with GTX 970M come with 180 watt PSUs.

In the USA only the 980M models come with a 240, the 180 as stated does not have the blue light on the tip. There is a small green light on the brick of all the 180 watts I have seen.
