"so u cant confrim that dell plan on using the 2gb model"
08/18/2012 04:44:32PM Agent: "We should have the option"
08/18/2012 04:44:44PM Agent: "However, I will confirm the details with our production team"
08/18/2012 04:44:53PM Agent: "and will keep you informed when we have it available"
So it does seem they have plans for it but they couldint confrim the dates i may just go with the 1.5 but i know i would be pretty gutted if did and then see the 2gb version listed

CookieMonsta86,
There is only the 1.5GB on the training page and the parts page.

Hi, Im also new here and I have just ordered the X51 with the 1.5GB GTX 660 option, and although I am considering changing to the Aurora Desktop due to the slim form factor of the X51, I intend to keep the GTX 660 option, I am led to believe by Stalin_Abraham a Dell sales rep', that Dell custom the chip of the 660 to their own spec, quite what that means I am still to find out, but while looking at the Aurora graphic card options I did notice it is a more expensive option than a Radeon HD 6870 which scores 2831 on the PassMark software site and the standard option of the Geforce GT 555 is as the GT 660 not mentioned, they both have an M version which is the laptop edition and not 1.5GB, which score 1000 and 1512 respectively, so I deduce from this it should be better,or how would Dell justify the extra £50 more than the Radeon HD 6870? Anyway,Dell seem to be a good solid company ( USA ) and their backup looks impressive.
Im sure this question will be answered by Dell eventually,as it seems only sales works on the weekend :)
I intend to speak to them Monday so if I find out I will update this post.
Good Luck either way

Although the SLi bit wont be much use on the X51 as space and no extra PCiE X16 or PCiE X 8 slot anyway, hence my thoughts on getting an Aurora as its a mid size tower !

Hi Chris,
I reviewed one of the other posts regarding this card. The power consumption is really low. Is it possible for me to add this card to my dell tower? If possible I would like to get the part number and purchase using my Dell preferred card.
Let me know.
Thanks, Brian
