Where is latest BIOS for an Area 51 with an X58 Chipset?
Does Alienware have a website where I can find the newest BIOS for an Area 51 with an X58 chipset?
My service tag number doesn't work for the Dell driver website.
I think the number on my machine might be an Alienware service tag number from before Alienware was bought by Dell.
This machine is an Area 51 with an ASUS P6T Deluxe motherboard with an X58 chipset.

Hi,
I advise you to use the motherboard model to search the BIOS on the ASUS website.

Does it look like this, or is it an older Alienware Legacy model?

I think that maybe the reason the ASUS BIOS upgrade doesn't work is that there is something in the Alienware BIOS preventing it from working.

I did go to the ASUS website and found the correct BIOS. It doesn't load with EZFlash. It gives me a "corrupt file" error even though I've downloaded the file multiple times and used multiple USB sticks.
as far as the documentation posted by Tesla1856, thank you, that's very close to what I have.
I found a bunch of alienware BIOS upgrades. They seem to be labled A1.....A11, The thing is....where do I see what version I have now? I have an Alienware BIOS and I watch the screen as it boots to see if I can see an "A" anything so I can see what version I have...and so far I haven't found anything.

It either looks like this or it doesn't. A yes or no answer is requested.
If you want further help from me, I suggest you post a screen-shot of the BIOS intro-screen and also the installed motherboard (remove side panel).

No it doesn't look like that. It looks like the alien from the movie Alien.
How do I upload pics? I attached one as a file upload but that's all it would let me do.
It was delivered on 1/8/09.

If it looks like this:

Around here, we refer to it as a "Legacy" Alienware system ... one that Alienware built before Dell purchased the name.
If Eimy can't help you, you might try searching Google, or forums here:
