13 R3, running very laggy

I have a alienware 13 r3 with a gtx 1060 and an intel i7 7700. On games like rainbow six siege, I can run at most 40 frames. I have seen people with the same laptop run 200+. Even on all low settings, i cant break 60. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my drivers, nothing is working.

I would run a benchmark and check CPU and GPU temps for possible throttling.

You can also open the Nvidia Control Panel and make sure the game is set to use the dedicated card and not the Intel graphics.

Always play with the the machine plugged in or it will switch to the Intel graphics to save power (unless you force the Nvidia GPU in the NCP)

@lum2333333 Hey were you able to fix the issue?

Im having the same problems with my 13r3 but im pretty sure its an issue with thermal throttling. would you be able to post the thermal benchmarks for yours?

How much RAM do you exactly have? And what amount of VRAM does your GPU have?

Because even my old 970M which is a 6 year old GPU is forcing 150FPS on high to ultra settings in Rainbow six siege at 1080p.

and it also says that the 970m beats the 1050Ti by a lot and also the 1060.

Also I’ve seen you hidden some pictures about the NVIDIA Driver not installing because of some DCH package missing?

You have to download the GeForce Experience launcher to update it.
