Alienware 15 R4 Temp - Help!
hello,
i just purchased a Alienware 15 R4, with i7 and GTX 1070, and i am noticing when i am playing games the CPU will hit 100c or high 90s, not consistently . it will hit that temp, and jump back down. the temps are pretty much jumping around. is this normal for the CPU? my GPU is pretty breezy i thought it would be the other way around.
i have the latop elevated, opolar laptop vacuum cooler, and lowered the voltage to 0.125..
any help would be much appreciated

Hi @E Alfaro,
What application are you using to check the temps?
Please run an stress test and send me a picture of the results, so I can check the average temps.
Thanks!

Prepare for a repaste and a mobo replacement.Be careful with the tech, dell tend to send outsourced unprofessionals which you might want to slowly guide through the repair. Ask him to use your own paste (buy grizzly kryonaut) since dell stock paste is bad for this level of termals.

Hi, was Dell able to fix your overheating problem? I have the same results on the stress test for my 15R4, that I got from BB two days ago. I have also undervalued it by -.125 like the original poster.
