M17x R3, fastest CPU, GPU upgrade?
I have upgraded my m17xr3 with more RAM and an ssd but I need to know what is the fastest cpu and videocard that my motherboard will accept?

if its the older 2011 ish m17X r3 then a cpu be 2920xm 2940xm and some have gotten a 2960xm without issues
as for video i know hands down you can run a 880m assuming you got a 240watt power brick but requires a modified system bios(unlocked bios) A12 and the video card itself needs to be a dell card or dell vbios on that video card .. but some have successfully gotten a 980m working but not without struggles..
cpu isnt bad but you can go to eurocom.com and get a new video card with support and much everything you need to upgrade but its not cheap..
when i did my M18X R2 from 680m's to 980m's it was over 2grand for both ..

thanks for the advice I know it won't be cheap but weighing up between upgrade and new and if I go with the upgrade I'll get an expert to do it
